The New York Cosmos announced today that midfielder, Emmanuel Ledesma, has agreed to a contract extension with the team.

 

“We are very happy to keep Manu in our roster. His experience and quality are very important for the club,” said Cosmos Head Coach and Sporting Director, Giovanni Savarese. “We look forward to seeing him contribute to the growth of our team.”

 

Ledesma has become a mainstay for the club, giving his all for New York the minute he first suited up.

 

The Argentine signed with the Cosmos in March 2017 and has made four appearances for New York, netting in a goal and assisting two. He earned NASL Play of the Week honors for his superb, game-winning chip against the San Francisco Deltas in Week 6 of the 2017 Spring Season. The goal was also voted Fan Favorite for the month of April. Ledesma was named to the NASL Team of the Month for May and boasts two NASL Team of the Week awards. He was also once named Emirates Man of the Match.
