As the 2017 NASL Season Opener approaches, the New York Cosmos welcomed their business partners and local press to 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge for the 2017 Media Day.

Former New York Cosmos goalkeeper, Shep Messing, introduced Cosmos Owner, Rocco B. Commisso, who expressed his excitement for having the Cosmos play this year at MCU Park. The team will play their home opener on April 1, in Coney Island, Brooklyn, against Miami FC.

Head coach and Sporting Director, Giovanni Savarese, discussed the legacy of the club and diversity of the players. “We are excited to be back and thank you so much for your support, and I am glad to continue to be here,” Savarese said.

The Cosmos also announced the their new partnerhip with new kit sponsors, Inaria. Jimmy Maurer, Carlos Mendes and Ayoze were featured wearing the 2017 New York Cosmos uniforms.
