The Cosmos held their fifth and final open tryout in New York City at Manhattan's Pier 40. The Cosmos return to the playing field for the first time in nearly 30 years on Aug. 3 at Hofstra University's Shuart Stadium when they face their old rivals, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. Cosmos Copa 2012 Kicks off on Saturday July 14th

Founded in 2009 in New York City, Cosmos Copa is one of the most prominent amateur adult soccer tournaments in the United States. Cosmos Copa is comprised of sixteen community based "national teams" whose players proudly play for the heritage and culture they represent. They compete for the esteemed title of New York City Champion and the honor of hoisting the Cosmos Cup.
