August 5th, 2011 - Paul Scholes ended his glorious career in style as his Manchester United side defeated a New York Cosmos club returning to the pitch for the first time in 26 years. The Cosmos were being managed by Manchester United idol and New York Cosmos Director of Soccer, Eric Cantona, who mentored a young Paul Scholes when he was coming through the ranks at United.

The New York Cosmos are sending some of the best players in New York City to play alongside some of the biggest names in the sport against Manchester United in the Paul Scholes Testimonial Match.
