The Carolina Railhawks, FC Edmonton and Fort Lauderdale all gained three points during week six of the North American Soccer League Spring Season At the midway point of the Spring Season, the Railhawks are now alone at the top of the table with 11 points. Johan Cruyff played a beautiful back heel assist to Seninho in a match against the World All-Stars at Giants Stadium. Cruyff played a series of exhibition matches as a guest player for the Cosmos in 1978.

Venezuelan midfielder joins New York’s soccer team Image credit: Keyla Vergara/Balonazos.com The New York Cosmos announced today that a deal has been agreed with Venezuelan midfielder Diomar Díaz, pending a physical exam with the club.

The Cosmos held their fourth open tryout in New York City at Corporal Thompson Park in Staten Island. Click here to learn more about the five open tryouts that the Cosmos are hosting in the five boroughs. 

On Tuesday, the New York Cosmos supporters club, the Borough Boys, announced that they would be running buses from Manhattan to all Cosmos home matches in the 2013 NASL Fall Schedule. The buses will leave from Jack Demsey’s on 33rd Street and are open to all Cosmos fans. The round trip bus ride will cost $25 and includes beer.
