The Cosmos' Spanish midfieler, Ayoze, had an interesting first trip to New York City. The Canary Islands native signed his contract to play for the club just hours before the Blizzard Nemo struck the Eastern seaboard. Ayoze took time to talk to us about why he has chosen to play for the Cosmos and what he hopes to accomplish in New York City.

The New York Cosmos announced today the acquisition of Spanish midfielder Ayoze as the team’s fourth signing this offseason. Ayoze, 27, is a left-sided midfielder/winger who joins the Cosmos from Sporting Gijón where he had played since 2010.
