On July 12, 2012, it was announced that the New York Cosmos will return to the NASL, beginning play in the 2013 season. The Cosmos ownership group, New York Cosmos LLC, is an international partnership led by industry veteran Seamus O’Brien. They are committed to putting the club back at the forefront of North American soccer. The New York Cosmos began play in 1971, spending fourteen seasons in the earlier NASL, winning five Soccer Bowl trophies and bringing some of the biggest names in world soccer history to North America.
Position Purpose:
The videographer position will be responsible for creating videos for the New York Cosmos website. All aspects of the video creation process will be involved. Once completed, videos will be hosted online, therefore a sound understanding of video development for web delivery is a must.
Essential Functions:
• Capture, create, and maintain video content specific to web
• Responsible for shooting and editing HD video
• Conceptualize and develop story lines and programming content ideas revolving around the Cosmos both on and off the field
• Create short-form video packages, specific but not limited to team press conferences and other organizational activities,(ie. Team training, Community and Marketing events, Cheerleader appearances, etc.)
• Create graphics packages for video features using Adobe After Effects
• Shoot live game footage including post-game sessions and press conferences with media.
• Must be able to set up lighting and equipment.
• Updating and posting video using CMS.
• Encoding video for website.
• Must be able to understand and conceptualize goals and execute the project
• Work closely with Digital Media Staff to ensure quality, consistency, and creative flow of the overall goals.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
• Expert knowledge of editing tools such as Final Cut Pro
• Proficient to expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient in a Mac based platform
• Proficient with lighting set up and equipment
• Knowledge of basic news gathering techniques
• Expert knowledge of outputting video for a web based format
• Expert knowledge of electronic field production equipment
• Excellent interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• Able to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects
• Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
• Able to work full weeks and weekends (game days)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in TV, Film, Fine Arts or related area. Preferably at least 1 years experience operating video cameras and editing equipment.

Position Purpose:
Manages the physical fitness of the New York Cosmos first team working closely with the coaching staff and medical department to ensure optimal results. Responsible for the daily training regiments of healthy players and works with team doctors and physical therapists on rehabilitation regiments.
Essential Functions:
• Ensure the safety for all athletes in all training activities as part of the overall supervision of weight room and other training facilities
• Close coordination with the Head Coach for all daily training plans
• Works with the team doctors, physical therapists and the head athletic trainer (physio) on player specific strength and conditioning
• Manage all related equipment whether on-site at the training complex and stadium, as well as coordination with the off-site physical therapist partner
• Maintain up-to-date records on the strength programs for each team and the specific individual workouts of every athlete while maintaining frequent communication with coaches as needed
• Must have ability to establish healthy professional relationships with all athletes
• Assist on-field for training when needed
• Participate in the development of the New York Cosmos Academy in the near future including oversight of the strength and conditioning program
• Support the technical director on budgetary planning as it relates to strength and conditioning
• Other reasonable duties as assigned
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
• BA degree or international equivalent in a related field such as exercise science or human performance
• Minimum 3+ years experience in coaching and/or administration of professional soccer teams

• Energetic and open with an honest straightforward style

Manage the equipment of the New York Cosmos first team working closely with the coaching staff and technical staff to ensure optimal results. Responsible for the daily equipment needs of the players, coaching staff, and technical staff.
Essential Functions:
• Ensures the availability of all the necessary equipment needs for the players and coaching staff
• Coordinates with the technical staff on purchasing team equipment and uniforms
• Support the assistant technical director on budgetary planning as it relates to equipment
• Manage and track inventory to ensure efficient operation of the department while minimizing lost/stolen equipment
• Manage all related equipment and gear functionality whether at the training complex or stadium
• Responsible for washing of practice/game gear immediately following training sessions/games
• Required to travel with team to away games and develop the necessary program to ensure equipment functionality
• Must have ability to establish healthy professional relationships with all athletes
• Work with medical staff and trainers to establish the strictest sanitation policy in the training facility, stadium and during all travel
• Assist on-field for training when needed

Position Purpose:
The Account Executive, Ticket Sales job is a full-time position with benefits. The main goal is to generate revenue by selling season tickets, partial plans, and group tickets to companies and individuals via phone prospecting, personal appointments and home games.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for generating maximum revenue by selling full-seasons, partial plans, and group tickets
• Create and develop new business by regularly pitching new prospects through external appointments, phone prospecting, networking events and game day tours
• Plan and coordinate group events at matches and other related events
• Manage all personal accounts and work with Fan Services and Box Office staff to provide the highest level of customer service throughout the season, including game days
• Game day responsibilities include, but not limited to, answering incoming sales calls/customer service calls, assisting with sales initiatives, prospecting clients at the game and game presentation
• Represent the organization at outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages in conjunction with other departments
• Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and closed sales
• Other duties assigned as needed
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential function of the job.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Prior experience in ticket sales, telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques is preferred
